

The Parish Council is the first tier of local government for Firle, and works with other authorities and partnership organisations for the benefit of the residents, businesses and visitors to our beautiful village.
The Parish Council has statutory duties and powers to provide services for the Parish of Firle, and must operate its activities within this legal framework. It also acts as a statutory consultee on planning applications within the village.
Meeting Dates 2026-2027: 14th April, 5th May, 9th June, 14th July, 8th September, 13th October, 10th November, 8th December, 12th January 2027, 9th February 2027, 9th March 2027.
Annual Parish Meeting: Tuesday 5th May 2026, 7pm in Firle Village Hall.
Please see attached for the results of the recent survey of Parish Priorities for Firle. The statement will be sent to the South Downs National Park Authority to be considered as part of their Local Plan review.
The Parish Council are keen to engage with local residents and welcome the support of the Firle Community Association. Their new website launched 1 April 2021 and can be found via the link below.
